What is the theme of “Just Girly Things” Zine? This zine is dedicated to all iterations of lesbingqiu and lesbingyuan such as butchXbutch, femmeXfemme, butchXfemme, trans/genderqueer, et cetera. We welcome all versions of our girls in all scenarios.
Is the zine sfw or nsfw? We will allow both sfw and nsfw pieces.
What isn't allowed? Due to legal regulations, explicit underage content isn't allowed. Our squicks will not be allowed: piss kink, non-con, gore, scat, bestiality, and necrophilia. Harry Potter AU’s will not be allowed.
If you have a topic/kink you would like to depict as a contributor and are not sure if it is accepted for this zine, please feel free to ask.
Is this zine for profit? This is a not-for-profit, charity zine. The profits for the digital zine will go to Girl Rising, an international nonprofit advancing girls' rights, education and opportunities.
For more information on the nonprofit, please refer to their website: https://www.girlrising.org/
Will there be a physical zine? The current mods have no experience with zines, but we'd love to have a physical. We'd like to bring on and first consult with a finance mod, but we are currently considering a Print-On-Demand service such as Mixam.
If we have a physical zine and the financials allow for it, we hope to give contributors a free physical zine. Any remaining funds will go to the charity of our choosing.
If we unfortunately do not have a physical zine, we will still have a digital zine.
Once pre-orders close for the digital zine & purchasers have received their copy, we'll share the digital zine for free. If we're able to create a physical zine, we may release the digital zine to everyone once contributors have received a physical copy
If there is a physical zine, where will it be shipped from? Mixam offers international shipping. For more information on payment methods, please refer to their website: https://mixam.com/support/payment
Will there be additional merch? We won't be offering additional merch outside of the zine. However, the current mods have come up with paper merch that can be printed out from the digital zine or taken out of the physical zine.
How many contributors will there be in total? This is dependent on the amount of interest we receive. A current estimate is anywhere between 30-40 contributors.
Who can apply? Anyone 18 years and older can apply as a contributor.
How do I apply? Once the initial interest check form is released, we will create an interest form specifically for contributors in November.
Can I apply for multiple positions? Yes, you can apply for more than one position, but you will only be accepted for one.
Will you allow the usage of generative AI for the zine?Absolutely not. If there is concrete evidence of a contributor using generative AI at any point of the creative process, they will be dropped from the project.
